Welcome from NE CA. Glad you joined us. There's a lot of us, that have never taken a class, just learned by ourselves, and other members on board. You've come to the right place, if you have a problem/question, just ask, someone on board will help you.

Welcome from Pleasant Hill, CA. There are a bunch of self-taught quilters on the board, and tons of help. Go for it...

Hi, Theresa! I'm new too and just had my first quilting session last Thursday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. We started with a log cabin block, which I've still to sew together, and for homework, we have to do a courthouse steps block. It's quite exciting, but I wish I had more time to devote to it.

I'm also a passionate cross stitcher and an occasional knitter. Reading is also another hobby. Way too many hobbies and not enough time!

What would be a REALLY simple quilt project to start with? I've researched so many things. Blocks or whole cloth quilt? Scrap quilt? I have a lot of fabric.
