What do you do with your orphan blocks ?

There are people out here (not me) who are great designers who could take your different sized blocks and make a beautiful scrappy quilt. Maybe you could do an exchange with someone for fabric?

They could also be used for the bib part of an apron.
A friend who take alot of classes always uses Christmas fabric for them. Then the blocks have the same theme. When she made a quilt with them, she called it, "A Touch of Classes".

I use mine to practice free motion quilting... I like the idea of the American Veteran Project too... our son is full-time National Guard (he is a Master Gunner and is the training officer for the local armory) and a veteran who has served two tours in Iraq. So any project that benefits the active duty military, the reserves or National Guard, or our veterans is near and dear to my heart!

Yep, I made all of these,,, scrap quilts are good, I have made several for our lake house..... they are perfect, pot holders to match a quilt I have given as a gift

When I have some extra blocks of a quilt I've been working on I make matching pillows to go with the quilts or in the case of my first finished quilt another whole quilt. (I got carried away having so much fun!) Everyone loves the matching pillows though.

I would get hold of a copy of Sharyn Craig's 'Setting Solutions" either at your library or from amazon (they have used ones)
