That makes a wonderful purse. Cute embellishments.

Looks like a successful transformation of an old pair of jeans

The handles are suede leather. I purchased them from fabric.com.

Thanks! I put the other back pocket inside. I use batik for the lining.

Thank you for all of the nice comments. I did not use a pattern. I have made several bags and used the knowledge I have gained to make this one. I recommendation is find a pattern you like and modify it to meet your needs.
This is how I made my bag:
I used the upper thigh part of both legs. I ripped out the inner leg seam and ripper the pockets off the back of the jeans. Lucky for me the little pocket (on the front of my bag) on the front of the Harley Davidson jeans is a complete pocket and not a pocket that the bottom is just closed with the seam of the front pocket is it in. I hope that made sense. Instead of ironing fusible fleece or interfacing to the bag I ironed to the lining. I made the shell and lining of the bag, I folded the top edges down 1/2 inch, then inserted the lining in the shell, and top stitch the edged together. I then sewed the handles on. I didn't care that the stitching would show inside the bag. I also used a magentic snap for a closer, but you could add a zipper if you want. Hope that is understandable.

I don't care for jean purses, but I love this one. I also love the handles, and the batik for lining. So much more classy to me.
