Unhappy Olfa Quick-Change Rotary Cutter 60mm

does anyone use this cutter? it is very tight on each side and there is NO screw adjustment.....the blade is very difficult to turn? this cutter retails for $47 (i did not pay that much). i think it's a very poor design, and wonder if i am alone with this thought.

Email Olfa and let them know what the problem is. More then likely they will make it right and send you a new one. I had a problem with a new dull blade and they sent me one FED EX overnight!!!

I have the 45mm one and I love it. Maybe the blade is bent. This may make it bind.

The screw that holds the blade should have a washer .. Loosen the screw- it will ease the washer ..

i did email olfa, as i have in the past. sure enough, got a new one fed ex'd to me. i debating about opening it, but guess i will. funny thing is that neither joann's or michaels sell this cutter anymore. at least, not in my area (vernon hills, illinois).
they do stand behind their products. they once sent me some new 60mm blades when the chenille blade did not work.
