    What a wonderful idea. They are a cute couple. I hope they have many happy years together. I hope that 50 years from now, they take another photo with the quilt and can share it with family and friends at their anniversary party!

    They were permanent fabric pens from Hobby Lobby. I have since learned if you iron freezer paper to each of the fabric squares, it provides more stability for writing on the fabric.
