Here is my August BOM> I decided to shrink the block to use in my 368 block project (linkedin my signature) and it shows, lol. doing group paper piecing like that is even harder and shows EVERY mistake at the smaller size.
Wnen i did the quilting for the QAYG style of my project I didnt like the initial stitch in the ditch - because i missed the ditch several times. So, I added a decorative feather stitch to the rays. Now, I rather like it. I enjoy the less perfect blocks I so often wind up with. It will be enjoyed for years to come.
Thanks for the inspiration!

I love your feather stitching around the yellow rays. It really sets them off. I also love polka dot fabric of all kinds. What a clever block you have made to fit in with your project. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us today!!

The batik fabric in the center is very pretty & your other fabric's go so well with it. What great choices. I also thought it was a fun block to make, but like you I don't think I would want to make a whole quilt with just this one block. It would be a work of art, but to much work for me!! Thank you for sharing with all of us today.
