Here's the double irish chain quilt that my friend made for me. I made one for my nephew and its all bright jewel tones, too bad I didn't take a picture of that one.

Thank you, Rebecca! I bet your DIC quilt was beautiful! You can always do another one!! I've been looking for easy continuous line patterns and I think I'm going to do this flower in the alternate blocks. Either that or I'm going to applique a single tulip w/2 leaves underneath (no stem) in all the alternate blocks. Won't that be a stunner? I'll eventually get to the border ideas after all that! lol. Here's a pic of this pretty loopy flower:

Love your quilt, the Irish Chain in my favorite pattern, I like the single, double and triple. I have a single scrappy started now, and I plan to do a Triple Irish for my son and FDIL - she is from Ireland, and the wedding will be in Ireland in 4 weeks. I found some really pretty fabric in March at JoAnn it is not the usual St Patty's fabric, but really pretty fabric that has Ireland themes. I want to have this done on their 1st anniversary -- I am a newbie and am comfortable doing the top, but need more practice for the FMQ. So I am giving myself a year to get it finished.
