    Default Mammy's Quilt Top

This quilt will go to Okemah, Ok to the Okfuske County Museum and the library. This quilt top was created by my grandmother (Mammy). A picture and my grandmother and my grandfather will go on it. My Mammy created the top and I finished it. The bricks are represented by: My grandfather John Alexander and my Uncle Frank laid the brick down Main St. in the town of Okemah. My grandfather was also the Indian Agent.

I love the brick borders...WOW. The colours in Mammy's quilt are beautiful. Any idea how old the quilt top is?

Your Mammy certainly made a beautiful quilt. I love the story behind it and the meaning of the bricks.
