I bought the Machinger gloves after trying exfoliating and garden gloves. They all work but the Machinger gloves are, IMO, much better. They are definitely cooler and fit nicely. In addition to the gloves, a surface that is even with the deck of your machine makes all the difference in the world. I have priority mail boxes and some large cardboard sheets stacked to the height of my machine and then cover with the heaviest clear vinyl that Walmart sells. Works really well, especially for large quilts, as everything moves smoothly. I am fairly new to FMQ and love it.

Don't pay that much. I just got a pair of gloves with little rubberized dots on them at Lowes and paid only $1.97 because it is the end of the gardening season. They work just as well as the $15.00 glove...

I bought the Fons & Porter gloves and they work like magic!
    I recommend it!

Before I bought them, tho, I tried out a new pair of dishwashing gloves.
They worked great, but my hands were a sweaty mess!

I have a pair,(not sure of the brand, without looking) paid about $10 for them and they are worth it, light weight, barely know you have them on, I tried gardening gloves, way to clumbersome for me.

I also use gloves..I bought them for 2 euro at the gardenshop. Originally it are gardeninggloves but they do fine as quiltinggloves. :)
