I, too, felt that the season opener was not up to par. I don't the new "girl", but then the season is still young, so maybe it will improve. She seems to be a little arrogant.

Being that this is one of my fav's I do have to say I was a tad dissappointed. It did seem strange the way they brought the new character in though. I mean she was just there. No lead up to her joining. And I did know that Emily had left, so that part did not confuse me. Just this new person. We will see.

The actress who plays Emily, I believe is now on Law and Order. I am pretty sure it is the same person playing an attorney on the show.

I agree with Nanamoms, the season premiere was sort of weird in my opinion. I love that show, so hopefully the new gal won't mess it up for us! I sure liked Em, she was great, so hope she comes back. As for the new gal, if she is supposed to be 24, then I must be 30? ha

I use to like this show -I like all the characters but the story lines were starting to unnerve me last season and I could not make sense of this seasons opener so I don't think I'll be watching any more CM

The new woman is Jeanne Tripplehorn. She's 49. I loved her in Waterworld. Am I the only person on the planet who loved that movie?
