    Default UPDATE....OK...I have to tell...

My quilt made it to the semi-finals but did not go on from there. I feel that just getting in to the AQS show in Des Moines is an honor that I am very proud of. Thanks for the kind wishes and excouragement. I am excited to get this far!

It is quite an honor to make it to the semi finals, congratulations. When I look at the quilts in the major shows I am amazed by the skills displayed.

Really neat quilt! Subtle colors, but stunning construction, makes one want to keep looking at it to see what else they might find!

I've loved this quilt from the first time you posted it a while back. The colors! The Texture! I just signed up for a fabric manipulation class at my LQS. It's in two weeks and I can hardly wait! I wanted to get a shirring foot for my Viking, but it was big $$$. I found a Singer 99 clone at the Salvation Army for $10 and the shirring foot from my old treadle works on it! The treadle machine itself does not work, so for $10 I got a dedicated ruffler!

I can't stop looking at this quilt. It is pretty and interesting. If it were mine I would display it in a special place in my home. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
