Krystyna the selection is random. Last year I received one from one of the 2 people I had to send to, but that is a random match that just happened. It isn't planned to match 2.

Anastasia, bonus gift sounds wonderful, hmm will I get a glittery box with my ornament? I can hope. I'm sure Krystyna would love it if you sent her a decorated box, her little ones love the glittery stuff. And Happy Birthday early!

I found the perfect craft item for one of my ornies, and I think I'm good to go for the second one. Now if I can get my dr table cleared off I can work one something this week end.

Prayers continuing for Brenda and family.

Krystyna I feel the same way about your doll quilt swap. Have so many scraps and pieces keep thinking I should do this and use some up. But I have no idea where to even start. Do you mostly use them for little wall hangings or?? I know, you're probably saying what a dum questions, leave it to me, but.....I am really dumb over these. Can you explain a little so maybe I will understand. You have a few in your group that have been regulars and keep telling me I should do this, just never have taken the final leap. MUCH HELP would be appreciated please. PM if you'd like or on here, you might get more signing up. Anyway, when you have time would like more info.

As you can see, I'm not Krystyna, but participate regularly in the DQ Swap. It's fabulous, that's what! You can do whatever your heart desires with the DQ's...many of us love small wallhangings for our walls...some actually do display them with their dolls. I love exchanging quilts and making new friends in the process. You get a partner and the two of you pm back and forth to get to know each other better and you can either make something specifically that your partner would enjoy, or you can work ahead on things that you've been wanting to try or you just love to do? I love the fun, connecting with others and making something different every month. It gives me a change to work on my quilting skills also without committing to a whole quilt and I can finish soon and feel really successful! Whew! Those are a few reasons I why enjoy participating!

Some months there are themes, but Krystyna always give those well ahead of the upcoming month, and themes are ALWAYS optional! In other words, you are free to make things you love.

Wow there are so many beautiful Christmas songs. If I had to pick a favorite, I would have to pick the kENNY & Dolly cd and Bony M.....one of my favorite ones, not sure if it's a Christmas one or not, but that's the only time they seem to play it, is Angels Among Us.by Alabama..I think it's also on youtube and frankly it's quite a fitting song for this group

All of the ornaments coming in are so beautiful. I just love Christmas and the hanging of the ornaments. Can't wait for Thanksgiving day after all the turkey to get the trees out!!!!! My swap partner received her ornaments on Thursday but haven't heard from her yet. Bet she's out of town or making ornaments furiously and no time for idle chatter right now. This is my first ornament swap and so much fun!!!!

For those who don't know this is ANASTASIA's BIRTHDAY WEEK lol she is celebrating all week. happy unbirthday AGAIN kiddo.

Those are super ornaments. I will be sitting at the post office box waiting to open them. I think you are all fibbers. Those reindeer are MINE. I need a herd of them. Perfect spot right by the tv so give em up. MINE ALL MINE.

music: I just got the greatest hits of dean martin. I must be a total dork. I love it too. stuff my mother used to listen to, and my dad always wore black suits, white shirts black ties and they were such a stylish couple true dean martin/rat pack music followers. Went to the "Bimbo" club in SF all the time which was IT in the 50's. Of course then I go to Italian music and well I am all over the place!
thanks to the QB friends here who are donating ornaments to the senior tree. I am very appreciative of all the help I can get. They will be loved.

What she said! As for what I personally do with them ... I live in a teeny tiny cottage by the sea and there are windows everywhere so the original occupants could enjoy the sea breeze -- and that means there's not a lot of wall space. I do have some of them in the room that serves as living room and dining room and happily these have the colors that match the room (walls are hunter green). Most of the rest of them are in the only area with walls ... the stairwell! I had planned a system of dowels with fishing line so I could display them on the brick fireplace, but never got it completely worked out. Some are also used on table tops. I do hope you'll join us. We do some remarkable things. Here is a link to quilts I made http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...bums16855.html and one to quilts I've received http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...bums16991.html (have to update that one!) and here is a link to our group http://www.quiltingboard.com/groups/...group-g14.html-- all the albums have several pages.
