Oh my goodness, such a busy thread already! I think we chat more and more every week. What fun to read all these comments this morning. I'm going to miss all this when we are done with this project!

Wow - great blocks everyone. I have finished Floral Bouquet, and almost done with Seminole. I'll post a little later today.

I'm off to have lunch with my Retiree Group. The people I worked with at the School District that have retired (I retired 9 years ago) all meet for lunch once a month. What fun to stay in touch with them!

We have some brave, dedicated quilters in this group. I whimped out and did a couple of subs. The first is called California and the second is Missouri Star. I got them from quilters cache and had a little struggle getting the size of the first one correct but frames work, huh?
Honchey...your fabrics work so well together and your bouquet could be a center piece on anyone's table. I started listening to the debate but after the first question that wasn't answered, I turned to something else.
Mirabelle...I've looked as close as I can and there is no extra piecing to be seen. Your blocks are beautiful.
QNSue...you are a brave one to do 2 FB. Both are so different and then your horse's behind in the bunkhouse...whew!!!
JanR...what nice blocks and I too like how you quilted them. How is your new toy doing?
Carrie...your FB shows off nicely. Love the colors.
I declare, QNSue, you do have a book in you. Thanks for sharing. And it looks like you got the FB templates figured out.
OKSewGlad...I hope the song keeps singing. You have some rather unfun tasks today...unless you're someone that actually enjoys washing windows.
Jeanie...we'll just have to figure out someway to continue. Friends, old or new, are worth the effort it takes.

Lovely blocks GG. Love your colors and choice of blocks to 'fit' in with the others. OksewGlad posted the 8 inch Missouri Star last week, and I downloaded it to possibly use at a later time. Loved the way you did yours.

There is an error in both Floral bouquets; turned out to be the same in both, less noticeable in the cowboy rodeo one. Easy compared with Verna's favorite block....I finally figured out it was a 'pizza' sliced square, then it was easier. Guess I should have used what I would put into a home made pizza!!

Nice, Jeanie, that you can go meet up with other retired teachers that you know and still get along with so well. I was just so happy to say 'Good-Bye' to staff and move out of state by 1500 miles...back into the mid west where we can garden and raise our own poultry. Gloomy day, yet I count my blessings and have a song in my heart...everyone is so active on PC QB board and I love reading all the latest postings.

QNS - Sorry to say I was not a teacher - they made much more money than I did! I worked in the District Office in Budgeting/Accounting and I was in charge of all the Attendance for our District. I worked as a Principal's Secretary for five years prior to moving up to the District Office. I loved my job and made great friends. We only had four for lunch today, as several are traveling. Often we have 8 to 10 people.

As usual all your blocks are beautiful, sorry I haven't been able to work on mine lately, I am really behind it has been a busy summer, But I am going to finish my blocks just won't be on time with all of you. I still look at yours each week. I made pillows(embroidered) for my church, made some rag quilts for 5 nieces and nephews, made covers for our new chairs, made some purses for some friends and a couple of lap quilts for friends, and some walker bags too. I really need to get started back. Keep up the good work. Hope to catch up soon.

GGal ... now those are beautiful! and look perfectly pointy and successfully squared in every way!
I'd be mighty careful as to what you do with the fabrics ... OKSGlad may sneak in and steal them from your stash for her FWS!

DDamsel ... til you show us the real thing, I'm virtually looking at them and saying OMG, more of those beautiful blue and whites. Perhaps with a dash of lace with the barbed wire?

Love your blocks Ggal, your colors are awesome. I'm glad I'm not the only one doing subs. I got mine off of QuiltersCache also. This one turned out the right size; others I've had to add a "frame".

Yeah, finished my blocks for this week! They were much easier than they looked. Maybe I'm just getting used to those "Y" seams!

    Pretty Pretty!

Oh sure .. easy peasy! ......... NOT!

For me it wouldn't be the Y's so much as those abrupt L corners!
