Beautiful, gorgeous quilt. Block it and enter it next year. I think I would give it a prize if I were the judge.

wow, I'm totally flabbergasted over your comments.
Thank you all so very much, you're making me feel proud as a peacock now!!!!!!!

I'll try to answer some or the question here'
Tinker, I suppose you're referring to the patterns of the flowers.
    They're indeed combined.
When you go to http://www.needlenthread.com/2011/04...g-culture.html you can find where you can download the four booklets with old turkisch patterns I used.

MTS: the border was a fabric from the same line, so I bought it all together.......

Mavis: The fabric is stonehenge magnolia from northcott, for the flowers I used different fabrics I already had in my stash

Jacky Spencer; I combined different very old existing patterns and made my own layout with them...as you can see in my answer to Tinker

    So far for the questions.
I now know why the quilt doesn't hang straight.
The right-topcorner is a bit higher than the left one, not very noticable when it lies down but hanging on a rod it pushes the right side of the quilt down.
So I won't hang it, but maybe, next year I bring it in for the quitshow.
That is held in a furnitureshop, so they do have beds and sofa's they can put the quilts on!!!

Thanks again for your kind reactions!!!!!!
