The paper spike that I used was purchased at a newsagent. I did also see them at an office supply store. I am thinking that they would readily available in the US.

I have to agree that it would also look good using autumn fabric. Then again you could also use spring like fabric and place a butterfly as the top deco.

can someone tell me where to find the paper spike??? Could you use a lid with a nail driven through it???
