New to Quilting
#14
I have the accuquilt Go and love it. Now I decided to sell it so I can upgrade to the sizzix BSP which cuts bigger and more layers. I don't have any waste at all. In fact many times I have about 1/4" waste when using it which is nothing and it is fast. I cut all my strips with it especially 2 1/5" then if I need 2 1/5" squares I turn the strip and cut the other way so u can get at least a hundred squares in one cut. It is an awesome cutter once you learn how to use it.

welcome to the board and happy quilting.
as others have said, money would be better spent on the basics of quilting. however, if money were no object for me, i would buy one of those.

With any machine, there is a learning curve. I use a similar die cutting system for scrapbooking and have more money tied up in fancy dies than I care to think about. I think for a beginning quilter there are other supplies that I would invest in first like good scissors, rulers, cutting mat and rotary cutter and lots of spare blades.

If you are just beginning, it seems like a lot of money that could be spent on other things like fabric, rulers, thread, patterns, scissors, cutting mats, rotary cutters etc. but then, I don't have one, and have no plans to buy one.
