Not A Quilt, But . . .
#1
Went to my first quilting class today. I didn't quilt, though. This was more of a learn how to cut, match seams, etc. class. So, I made pillowcases to match my DH's Lone Star quilt that his grandmother made for him.
Next week I get to start a quilt in class!

Well done, nice match too. Doesn't matter what you create, it gets you learning and keeps you motivated. Matching pillowcases are a great idea...make another set though, the slips wear out quicker than the quilts or coverlets. Happy sewing.

Before I started calling myself a "quilter", I was like you ... I put pieces of fabric together ... so I called myself a piecer.
However, being a quilter is a whole package - - a person who puts pieces together, and then turns it into a quilt by anchoring three layers together and binding it ... so, don't be shy!
You have begun your quilting career!
