    Default Bernina Lens

I am working on SITD on my placemats today. It is black thread on black fabric and I thought someone might like to see the view through my Bernina D5 magnifying lens. If it was a quilt, I would have put on my walking foot but for such a small project I just have my #37 1/4 inch quilting foot. As you can hopefully see, the lens makes it much easier for me to get the quilting right where I want it.

I didn't know such a thing was available, I just might have to order one. Is that a 440 you have it on?

I got my lens set for Bernina 440 last year as I noticed that I was slouching more to see what I was sewing. They cost me about $45 (reg $60) for a set of three but so far I have not needed the 2 higher magnifacation lenses. They do need to be put on by your Bernina technician so I bought them when my dealer had 25% off B accesories and waiting until my machine needed a check up so I got it all done at once.

What a great idea.... I've never seen anything like that before. Do you know whether or not you can purchase the magnifiers for machines other than Bernina?
