    Post using my scraps in 2013

    I want to make quilts using my scraps this year. Please share your ideas, patterns and other thoughts about using scraps. thanks in advance for your help.

    I love 'controlled' scrap quilts. I like to have one unifying color to tie everything together either in sashing or repeated patch in each block.

    Making string quilts are so easy and fast, uses up scraps.

    You can't go wrong with four patches and nine patches!

    A book I have used to make 3 quilts out of is Successful Scrap Quilts from Simple Rectangles...I did one in 30's, one in repro's, and one in plaids...so much fun and a great way to use scraps.

    I honestly believe that almost any quilt pattern can be made by using scraps. All of the links and comments are excellent. Just start searching scrap quilts and you will discover absolute awe inspiring quilts, have fun searching and discovering. But even more fun creating your very own!

    Check out MaryQuilts.com...great patterns and colorful directions can be downloaded free. The directions are easy to follow.
