Be careful to check prices, because some are quoting the fabric by the 1/2 yard and not by the yard.

On my website the minimum is 1/2 yard. It's mostly because that's the way the software works. If you call or email me I can cut whatever amount you want.

fabricdepot.com in Portland, Oregon will sell less than one yard and they are known for carrying hard to find fabric. You can Google them and call them if you are looking for a certain fabric that you can't find anywhere else and they usually have it. Right now they can take orders online, but they have to call you back to get your credit card info. Some glitch in their online store. They are a great store for shopping. I live 250 miles away and have driven there just to shop at their store. It's so worth it!!!

The unit of measure for most online shops seems to be 1/2 yard increments. If it's a sale fabric, most require you buy at least 1 yard. For quarter yards you could try the Fat Quarter Shop. Or go shopping on Etsy. There are plenty of fabric sellers there who will make you a custom listing of whatever kinds of cuts you want.

Connecting threads will go down to a linear 1/4 yard.
