I am fairly new to quilting, only a couple of years, and I already have a room full of gagets, and sewing machines, including a new Viking Topaz embroidery machine. Being a widow, I don't have any one to complain about it and my son just enables my addiction by saying "Mom, that's your tools, you can't work without good tools." That's good enough for me. Now just hope my DD doesn't put them in yard sale for .50 ea when I'm gone,LOL.

OK, I'll join you all --have rulers, gadjets books too but it's all the little iddy bitty things that I find the hardest to
organize. Oh, but I do use most of them --used once at least when I first bought them. No time for another meeting.

Now I am also a magnet for quilting gadgets and books. I definitely have more rulers triangle rulers etc than the local quilt shop. How do I know being a friend she says so. If someone after or looking for a ruler Dotty will have one.
Books are another gadget I can't resist, bought a new bookcase at end of last year. HELP it is full. Do I read them yes and remember what I saw problem which book. Do others have these problems.

Ok, you know how to get things de-magneted? ( I know that isn't a word) A sharp rap on the head! Well, nails etc. get a hammer, but surely we get a different kind of pop. I think there are several womens prisons that make quilts, you could donate some of your don't use stuff. Use it as a tax right off. Another thing I can think of is the girl scouts. Sometimes they too could use the tools. Then there are guilds, they are chronically making donation quilts ane would love being able to use good tools.
Just a thought, I can relate.
