Appears to be. Do you want the back slide plate from my VS2?

FYI - I cut the strips for the VS2 bed slides last night. I started the process to make a jig to set the edge angle grind. My plan is to set the edge angles on the whole strip then cut to length, cut the curved end, and buff.

I am still working on how best to do the under plate grind...

    Hey, SteveH,

I purchased 10 years ago a Singer VS2 in the UK, in poor condition. It is 127 years old.
Now I would like to restore it into working condition. My wife and I are attracted to the idea of having a nice, vintage sewing machine in embellishing our living room while at the same time being able to use it occasionally.

The problem is that it is missing the front plate (the one closer to the operator). Do you still make them?

I don't know how often Steve actually reads this forum any more, you'd get his attention a lot sooner over on the victoriansweatshop.com forum.

I don't make them as a rule, but I have made them in the past. I may even have a couple of partial laying around. Let me check.

BTW, you should check with Helen Howes (in the UK) she has LOTS of spares, and if one is not listed, just ask, she's super nice
