Wow Caroline they look great together. Just a thought what if you used a black sashing to tie the blocks together inside and then used the pink as outside sashings... like a big picture frame ? Just a thought. I love the way the block patterns pop with your fabric on the black. Fantastic job anyway you do it.

If I had some black on white polkadot or check fabric I might audition them for sashings. That would make a wild quilt! But we have a long way to go to December.

WOW.........I am so amazed at all of the gorgeous April 2013 BOM blocks that have been shared in the last few days. Everyone is doing a fantastic job making their Double Aster blocks. All of the color combinations are so pretty & would make a beautiful quilt if all together. Keep up the good work everyone!!

At first I wasn't going to do this one, but I found myself with more time on my hands, plus having a good machine to sew on makes the work go quickly. This was started and finished in one day!

I am so glad that you decided to make this block after all, as it couldn't have turned out any nicer!! Your color combination is really nice too & to say that you made it in just one day, WOW. It's a beautiful Double Aster BOM block for the 2013 year. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.

Default QB Block-of-the-Month, April 2013- Double Aster Photos

Oh my gosh, I completed this month's block. I pp it thanks to Dede for the pattern. My printer must be off a little, so I just added log cabin strips to make it 12-1/2"
