    if money is not an issue buy it. But you may find fabric you love so often in the future that will have more than you can ever use. I am the thankful recipient of a ton of fabric but I hate that my friend spent so much on the fabric and could now use the money.

    I would say buy it. I fell in love with a fabric a year or more ago now and DIDN'T buy it and I think about it often. I think it was South Seas or Timeless treasures and was something like the Cat in the quilt room and had cats playing with fabric, etc--and I loved it. But I didn't get any. And yes, I wish I had.

    Back in the day when I used to make my own clothes I found some fabric I absolutely loved. I bought it not knowing what I was going to do with it and eventually found a pattern for a two-piece dress that I made and it was one of my favorite outfits.

    I agree with the others - life is too short to have regrets down the line, wishing you had purchased the fabric. Sometimes I just enjoy looking at my fabric!

    I think you should buy it. I don't regret the fabrics I've bought but I'm haunted by some that I passed on and couldn't get when I went back because it had all been sold.

    My guess is you will regret it if you don't. I would buy some - you'll be able to use it for someone if not yourself!

    Thanks for your encouragement, everyone! So far, I have bought a charm pack so I could pore over the fabrics and look at/feel them for a while. If in a week I'm still obsessed, I plan to buy yardage of my 2-3 favorite fabrics from the collection.

    I agree with everyone else. Life is too short to deny ourselves something of beauty. Also I agree with buying at least two yds. I sometimes look for fabric in my stash and there isn't enough for a project.

    Okay just so I could make an impartial decision I looked up this Posy line by Moda. How can you not get it...it's adorable. Perhaps a bundle of fat quarters or a couple of charm packs might cure your fix.

    I've bought many fabrics when I had nothing I mind, and then I hate to use it. Those pieces are usually my favorite and inspirations for quilts and other fabrics.
