How to use Elmer's Washable School Glue (because y'all asked)

I have used the glue method twice and it is the most wonderful thing . Make sure you use 'washable' school glue and you glue the top and bottom to the batting. Use a damp paint brush to spread it around and iron it and you have the quickest and best way to baste a quilt. Guaranteed!! I will use my pins for something else, they don't even reside in my sewing room anymore.

I tried this and it works beautifully! My 10 y/o was wanting to sew more, and it was quicker (and a lot more accurate) than pinning. I can glue and press, and she just keeps on sewing.. GREAT IDEA! Thanks for sharing )

I've finished 4 quilts in two weeks using the elmer's washable glue. THANK YOU. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for this tutorial! I just started quilting one year ago today and have several tops but afraid of the sandwiching and binding, this has taken my fears away. I am no longer just a topper, I AM now a quilter!!
