I found it but only because you said the mistake was there and I am nosey. Your optional design change looks great to me, I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for sharing.

yes and sorry to say it is pretty obvious. First snow flake in 2nd row is missing the quarter plate. Instead of taking it apart could you just applique one on?

Thanks, well these dresden plates stand up when quilted, there not all sewen down and kinda look like angel wings. Took a long time to make and I can kick myself in the butt for not seeing this huge mistake. The dresden plates were sewen on backwards, so would have to take apart and turn them around.

Call it your 'humility' block, I think your quilt is very pretty, love her imperfections.

If the plates "kind stand up like angel wings" I would make one stand alone quarter plate and back it (by putting it wrong sides together with a white fabric that matches and turning) and applique it on in such a way that it does stand out a bit. Surely it will look more intentional then the missing piece and will most definitely make the mistake not noticible to anyone.

It really is quite obvious that the upper left hand corner snowflake is missing an arm. Even if you had not mentioned there was a mistake I would have noticed it and wondered why the pattern was that way.

Maybe it was knowing there was a mistake, but, yes, saw it right away.

Yes, but it makes it uniquely yours. Every quilt I make has one piece that is wrong side up. For whatever reason, (probably too lazy to take it apart and correct it) that became my signature trademark! My little booboo makes any quit a Linda Rucker original! Lol!
    Your quilt is beautiful !
