Lightbulb Apron Shirt from men's clothing

A while back a lady pm'd me to ask me how to make the Apron Shirts from Men's clothing .. I couldn't remember her name so here is the site that may help her make the Apron Shirts ( I made these for Christmas for my DGD's and they loved it so much their friends wanted one as well as Mom and her in-law family), needless to say you know some of what I have been shopping for and making !LOL

    http://madewithmytwohands.blogspot.c...-presents.html

She explains in detail how to make it .. I have made many of these for family, friends and neighbors since making the ones for the DGD's. One can also search the internet for more detailed instructions than what is given in this site. Hope it helps, its better than I can explain it as I just winged it (meaning no instructions were given to me !LOL)mine when I did the aprons.

Very cute and a great way to recycle an old shirt.

Thanks for the idea and link.
Could be fun making these ... and fun just in the search for the shirts!

Did I miss something? Are there more detailed instructions, than the three pictures?
    Please? and Thanks!

My DGD's LOVED this idea and so did many of my DD's in-law family. I just think its an easy peasy way to make an apron (which is now en vogue again .. LOL). The grands used to make fun of Gma's aprons till they each received one of their own for cooking/baking in the kitchen when they were & 10 years old that Gma made them. So every year for Christmas they have gotten an apron of different styles and found out this is the one they love best; so that is what they will get for an apron from now on. Even the baby who is now 6 (others are 15 & 12) is enjoying it.

I'm now going to be scouting out the Thrift Stores for shirts that can make these even more special!
