NanaKathy....that is going to be a great quilt. I want all of you to know that I did not send everyone in this group material for my granddaughter's duvet. Only 20 people got that material. The rest of you go different material for different quilts. So don't worry about that. I still have 10 more to come my way total but 6 are for the duvet. No hurry....June 1st is still a few weeks away. The duvet will have 30 blocks so I had to make 10 of them myself. Also being a duvet cover...it will not be quilted.

I feel your pain. My garage is the industrial type with the monster door . . . that hasn't been working in weeks. My gd and I have to both lift the door in the morning to get the truck out for work. Called the landlord twice and finally heard from someone yesterday. But be a day late on the rent and see what happens.

Good luck to all who are still desperately sewing. I had to get mine done before the heat hit. The sewing machines are in the garage . . . and I can't get the door open (am I venting?). I finally cleaned out the pantry and put my Featherweight and table in there. So I can at least sew blocks in the ac. The dog's not happy. That was where her "Heidi hole" used to be. Now she has to hide under the FW table.

Not complaining but finding a bit of amusement in it. Finally getting the central air checked out today (been mentioning that for over 2 weeks because our house has been at 74-75 no matter what it's set at and was at 80 yesterday!) I am thankful that it's not middle of summer though, whew we'd be cooked! Okay no more venting, just getting busy on the house and then sewing! I think tomorrow is a good day to force myself to label envelopes! Updating pictures now that needs done today, *shakes head* how did pictures get so far behind...... no excuses, just gonna fix it! At least that's what my mama always tells me to do

Nana, what a beautiful quilt thats going to be!!
Yesterday at work a lady brought in about 25 lap quilts. She said she drives all over Mo and surrounding states selling what she makes. I was excited at lst but when I looked at them they were all just a solid piece of fabric and were machine quilted in the same design. I will say that she had two quilts that were solid color, one white, one pink and they were quilted beautifully. She only wanted $20 for each quilt but I tend to prefer quilts that have designs in them, not just a piece of fabric...She did say she gets her fabric from Marshall Dry Goods in Arkansas and was going to start making queen and king size quilts. Not sure I would like to be a "traveling quilt salesman" like that though!

You have mine pictured in #1377. It is the 6th set of pictures from the top, on the left.

My quilt guild does a birthday block swap. With my blocks I planned on giving it to a cancer survivors' group to raffle off for funds. Here is what my quilt looked like and I had an extra block left and made a bag to match. Back to work. Phannie

Very pretty Phannie!! I love seeing the finished products! Oldcatlady, got mine yesterday too. Some really neat blocks in this one...sure wish I could get the hang of paper piecing and make some of the blocks! Ive already marked about 6 blocks I want to try! Have you ever purchased the 200 Block book?
