    I agree with bearisgray, only I would use the same size as the sashing for the first border of black. Also agree with ube quilting, the giraffe print is in keeping with the other mammal prints, where as the snake is a reptile print. Also one is warm and the other cool in overall feel of quilt. Ultimately its your quilt so go with what you like.

    I'd go snakeskin all the way due to the contrast element...inclined to agree with Ube quilting...I think the snakeskin element is not in keeping with the furred creature theme...so if you had furred element fabric with enough contrast that would be good. On the other hand...you don't have to stick to "furred" at all....

    EDIT: I like bears idea of going with a narrow black border and then the giraffe. Very nice.

    I agree with UBE .... It is a theme with furry animals, and I think the contrast of he darker snake skin is too much.

    The snake skin fabric is already used in some of the squares, so it is not all furry animal stuff.
