Thank you all very much! When I showed my daughter the polka dots that I wanted to use for the sashings and backing she did not care for my choice, but after I went ahead and used it and she saw it finished, she really likes it now. I absolutely love polka dots!

The pinwheels and dotty sashing make this crumb quilt sing!

I see all the positive comments about the sashing, I'm going to add another. Isn't it just the best? Love it!

I love this quilt, but I've never heard about a crumb quilt block. Is there a pattern, how do you do the blocks?

I can't tell you how much your post meant to me. I have been working on two quilts, tossing crumbs and thinking about giving away some of my smaller scraps. I have big piles of scraps and crumbs, all ironed and sorted by color, but have never had a use for them. Then I read your post and saw your wonderful polka dot sashing and I changed my mind. I even dug some tiny crumbs out of the waste basket, combined them with other scraps and I have a third quilt going now! I love the polka dots, too. I have been hoarding polka dot fabric until an idea came along, so thank you!
