So, I was working on Elle's center, and I am cutting and sewing, and cutting and sewing, and ..
well, I try to be organized, but I wasn't doing so well, and then I started remembering a song I had learned from Andy WIlliams a hundred years ago <g>
    I can sing a rainbow ...
so, I started picking up pieces and singing the song ... it was AMAZING!
    I had all seven colors!
(because I couldn't leave the store with only six - - it is a "me" thing <g>)
and, the one color that I thought was turquoise when I was at the store, turned out to be - - blue! more blue than turquoise to be sure!
I was thinking about Elle and her center and then the song ... and, then how all the colors were there, right in front of me before I had even had a concept of how to arrange them!
It took an act of congress to find a video/audio version of the song I have spent decades loving and teaching to children ... and, frankly ... this is the best video I could find.
I just thought you might enjoy this step toward getting the first border on to Elle's center.

Well here it is, I've finally finished the first border for Omak's centre. Some words of explanation: Omak wrote to me to say that she would like her quilt to turn out rectangular, rather than square, so would I mind working on only one or two sides, rather than all four. I was more than happy to oblige!

It was much harder than I expected - coming up with a border that I felt did the centre justice, I mean, so I really hope you like it!

Jan, that's lovely. Your stars continue the movement that flows through the center. Very nicely done! :-)
