One of our LQS has some of these, painted of course, but they roll large pieces of fabric tied up with string/ribbon and a price tag with the yardage amounts. They also have yarn in theirs.

I think the hardest part is painting it, but oh what fun after!

I would paint it any of your favourite colours and then I would roll my fabric instead of folding it and put it the on-point cubbies.

Definitely paint it color of choice (white would be a great contrast) and roll your fabric, and display. I think it is a fun piece to have.

That is a fun piece. I would give it a fresh coat of my favorite color paint and stuff it full of fabric and books and magazines. having the shelves "on point" is a very quilty quality! I love it! Enjoy.

EDIT: The little cubbies on the edges woud be great to stash rolled up fat quarters or stacks of 5" squares. What fun.

Post again when you have it done your way!
    peace

Yep! I was thinking the same thing , but I like the idea of alternate uses as well. Would love to see how you end up using it.
