"Sunshine and Shadow" is the Amish name for your "Trip Around The World" quilt.

The differences are the Amish don't use patterned fabric in their classic color quilts. In their vernacular, you make "English" quilts. Doesn't matter if you are from Czechoslovakia or Brighton Beach, it's still called English.

    Very nicely done.

Wow! Your fabric choices are spectacular with this pattern. I'm so glad you decided to share it, it is truly beautiful and such an inspiration!

Thank you all for your compliments. They are appreciated deeply. I started this quilt before I logged in on this website so I didn't know what strip piecing was (I wish I did now). Nope every square was stitched separately. I didn't have a rotery cutter either then (now I do). I had callouses from all that cutting by hand. This has truely been a labor of love.

Debbie, your quilt is absolutely divine! You put me to shame! I have a rotary cutter, can do strip quilting - but cannot imagine doing all that let alone doing it piece by wee tiny piece. Your are totally correct calling it a true labor of love! SUPER JOB! I love your color choices too!
