Tree of Life Block: Help!!
My son is getting married at the end of November and his bride-to-be gave me a quilting book that has a 36 x 36 wall hanging in it with the Tree of Life block a couple years ago for Xmas. They want one tree but a lap size quilt. I need help figuring out how to enlarge the pieces. What is the best way to decide how to figure out the layout of the colors? Anyone ever done this? Any help would be appreciated, thanking you in advance.

I just googled images of your block and found variation that made it square or rectangle. Here are few pix to help you visualize it:

Does she just want the one tree, or could you make say five tree blocks and put them in a big 9-patch? I made a wallhanging of that block once and it wasn't that hard – the trickiest part for me was the trunk

Redraw on graft paper. I use the easel pad paper size. I would make the trunk longer to make a rectangle.i should have retread Charmings drawing again. It is rectangular. Just add borders.

I'd also like to make a tree of life wall hanging, I think it's a beautiful block. However, trying to find a pattern for a block that's NOT on point and is large enough for the colors to be seen is next to impossible. Using graft paper? WOW.... good luck with that one Munner! I'm going to follow this post.... hopefully, someone can help both of us!
