Hello folks.
Just wondering peoples opinions about this batting.
Do you like it?
How does it do for hand quilting, machine quilting, long arm quilting?
Any cons to it?

My daughter started working part time at Michaels craft store and gets 50% of coupons so I would be able to get a queen size package for $14.00 + tax instead of $28.00 + tax....works for me! if it's decent stuff.

I have never heard anything about this or any other Hobbs batting. Excellent brand.

I use to professionally machine quilt using my Bernina and always used Hobbs 20/80 cotton batting. I like that it has just a slight puff to show off your machine quilting skills. I always thought that W&N was a bit on the flat and heavy side. They BOTH have polyester scrim in them.

I used to buy Hobbs 80/20 Fusible quilt batt for machine quilting at Michaels with my 50% coupon until that stopped carrying it. I love the fusible and now travel to the US to buy it.

I like it, Michaels in my town carries only about 2 at a time so, when I purchase it, my son purchases one and I purchase the other one.

Most of my quilt guild members use Hobbs 80/20. I like it a lot too. It is good for both hand quilting and machine quilting, and for longarm quilting on a frame. It has a little loft which I like, and it has a softer drape and isn't as heavy as Warm and Natural.

Hobbs 80/20 doesn't have a scrim. W&N does have a scrim. I agree, the Hobbs is slightly puffier and not near as heavy as W&N. Because it doesn't have a scrim it is much easier to hand quilt than W&N, if you are interested in hand quilting.
