I wondered about the steam a seam, I have been using wonder under, the lightest, I think. Am not minding it but the paper really sticks, if I use a pin and rip, it comes off. I do like the lightweightness (not sure of the spelling or if it is even a word) on applique as compared to even the steam a seam light. Just my thought.

I suggest MistyFuse, too. I used to use SAS Lite all the time until I tried this stuff. I'm hooked now. It's even softer than SAS Lite. And I love that you don't have to reverse your applique to use it!

I use heat n bond lite= in my experience it has worked better than steam a seam ever did, is easy to stitch through, readily available at a good price (fabric.com has it for $1.68 a yard) I've been using heat & bond for years and prefer it over most of the other fusibles on the market.

They bought that ad before they discontinued the S a S due to production issues. I am sure that the Warm Company misses their product but until they can figure out how to remedy te situation, they are no longer producing the line. The contracted vendor who produced S a S went out of business last spring and that is why the issues.

Pellon has a "lite" version of their fusible. I have some and I need to try it out. Heat N Bond is decent.

I agree that MistyFuse would be my substitute of choice. MistyFuse comes as a two-sided fusible without paper, but it's easy to press it between two sheets of parchment paper. Peel off one piece of the parchment paper and you have a paper-backed fusible.[/QUOTE]
