Default I saw Geta Grama quilt at the Houston Quilt show....

As many of you may have seen Geta Grama,s group project quilt - which she posted a while ago, while she was working on it. It's a beautiful quilt of a sphere, that appears to be 3-D. It was so spectacular in person. The won third prize in the Group division sponsored by APQS.

I'll bet you recognized it right away without reading the name.

Actually I went there looking for it. I didn't know if she was sending it or not, but I was hoping to see it in person!! I found it right away. I've never been to a quilt show that large, and I didn't get to see all of it (there was too much shopping to do!) but I was determined to find it.

I've already bought that pattern from her. I LOVE that quilt and saw it at the show yesterday, too! Really got my mind going on how I'm going to make mine. I'm stoked to make it now that I've seen it in person!

What is the size? Way too intense for me! Is that background one piece of fab or is that pieced too? Note.....this was a group effort.......not my idea of quilting
