Question What's the best way to find a specific fabric?

Is there a website where I can post a picture of a fabric and find the name/manufacturer? The shop where I purchased the fabric is no longer in business and I don't have a selvage edge.

You could try www.missingfabrics.com if you are looking for more. A picture posted on QB might help someone identify it for you.

It looks like a batik. I would send the picture to someone such as. Batiks Plus or other company that specializes in batiks.

Try Batiks Galore in Joshua, TX - they only carry batiks so might have it. Good luck!

If we knew the approximate date it was purchased, that would help.

If it is indeed a batik then it didn't have a selvage edge to begin with, which may be why you can't find one. It is a very pretty piece of fabric. The beauty about batiks is that you can easily mix them if you can't find more of this one.

Dunster is correct. Batiks don't even have a traditional salvage edge like normal cotton fabrics.
