Lovely machine, always great to see different versions, but alas.....now I know they are out there....that might not be so good for the hobby budget....I already have a centennial 15-91... thanks for sharing.

I have a 15-88 Silver. It came in a treadle base and that is how I've kept it. I love the silver details too. They look so cool and the stitch length indicator is actually really good with the window and number. I like it better than the regular black stitch indicator.

redsquirrel, please share pictures! (I see it in your avatar, but I'd love to see a better one) I've never heard of a non 91 that was "silver" I'd also love to know what the serial number is, I'm sort of compiling information on them as there is so little to look up.

If you're in Indianapolis, you have a chance to get one of these at Shopgoodwill. SN says it's from 1930, one of 20,000. So it looks like they were also made 1930 as well as 1931 and 1932? http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions...-15524792.html

I just saw that machine and was trying to remember the significance of the silver badge. Too bad I can't get there from here.
The grass is always greener I suppose but if you like old sewing machines central Indiana seems like a great place to live.

Thanks for the info, it appears these were made for longer than I thought - which would explain why they turn up rather often. I've seen the non - potted motors, but they seem to be from other than the US mfg.
