Default Deb Tucker's Rapid Fire Hunter Star

I went to the PA Mancuso Quilt show a quite awhile back. Deb Tucker was there, demonstrating her Rapid Fire Hunter's Star. It looked so easy, that I purchased it. As I usually do, I set it aside while I was working on other projects. When I finally got around to it, I looked at the ruler and my eyes rolled up in my head. What was I ever thinking, I forgot how to do the block, and the paper instructions, though very clear, were not making much sense to me at all . Came across Heirloom Creations short videos, and there was the Hunter's star - in 7 easy steps. I watched it, took the computer downstairs, and did the step by step. IT WAS AMAZINGLY SIMPLE. I made the 10 inch and the 7 inch.....stunning. Sorry, no pics and I am good with needle, thread and fabric, not so much with technology! I think this has become my new favorite block.

Thank you so much for the link! This is something I've been thinking about trying and am really glad Deb Tucker developed the ruler. For some reason I find this video easier to understand.

I think this is a link to it:
    http://www.heirloomcreations.net/rul...-7-easy-steps/

Just wondering if anyone has made a Hunter's Star this way and also with the Accuquilt cutter and can compare the two approaches.

Thanks for posting this. I watched the rapid- fire video 3x and couldn't get it. The pattern has such great possibilities, too. I was thinking of paper-piecing it, although that might not be the best way.

    Hugs,
    Charlotte

I've made 2 baby quilts and a table topper with the rapid fire. I thought I'd never figure it out, but I followed the directions which came with it step by step and it is one of my favorite go to quilt patterns.

I've had the ruler for years and every time I look at it I wonder what I was thinking, lol. Thank you for sharing this information; I really appreciate it!
