Red face New to quilting, new to sewing, new to site - Southern Indiana

Hi! My name's Maggie in case you didn't catch that from my username. I'm 31 and live in Southern Indiana with my husband and furbabies. I love the outdoors, playing online, word games and my newest obsession is sewing and quilting.

I just started back in late December and I'm getting ready to layout my first quilt since my blocks are finally done. It's a king sized quilt of crazy colors and patterns with no pattern to the madness. LOL. I wanted to practice and this has been so great! I've really seen my skills sharpen as I've made my blocks, so I think I'm on the right path.

I'm so glad to be here and to learn from the pros! (You guys!)

Maggie: Welcome to the Board from Oregon. Love to see Newbies joining in, your just about as new as you can get. We are from all different levels of skill but we have the love of quilting in common. Hope to see pictures of your first quilt soon.

Welcome Maggie from London Ontario. Glad you got the bug. Check out Quiltville if you like scrappy. Bonnie Hunter is great for using Scrappy quilts

Welcome from the SHO-ME state - Missouri! Sounds like you are off to a good start. If you are an "auntie" to many, then you will have lots of practice in making childrens quilts.

Welcome to the Boards. I think you will find that everyone is very friendly, there are no quilt police here, and I can't even BEGIN to tell you how much I've learned from everyone!

LOL, only an auntie to two beautiful boys, Isaac and Caleb. I always call them my monsters but they're two of the sweetest and smartest boys I've ever met. At only 7 and 3, they really do think their Aunt Maggie rocks. LOL!!
