Morning ladies, looks as though some are sewing away. I see where Emma has already answered your question Mimi so won't go into that any further. Show us a pic when you get it done.

I AM BACK! a short stint at the hospital and I am good as new. HAH! fooled you. I am not good as new. I am slightly broken at the moment so bare with me and I will be back grand as ever. I had my arm fixed now to fix the brain the same way! argh pirates is my comment on the whole darn thing but I wanted to thank you for your kind words and also to thank Jan. When in doubt.. contact Jan. She truly is our resident expert here. I sure need her at this moment.

E. I hope you are soon back to normal. Sounds like you have a golden pal in Jan. She takes care of you and keeps us informed. Glad you have each other. Best wishes to you both. Enjoy your time with your daughter.

Emma, Thank you so much for figuring that out. Now to chose the fabric.
Linda (Elizabrat), Hope you feel better soon. As an RN I love the hospital except when I'm the patient! My longest stints have been 3 weeks and by that time I'm nutty. Take care and we're all here for you when you feel up to posting.
Thanks Jan, for being here.

I am glad that you are home and getting better. Be like the cat in you avatar. Hmmmm, but maybe you need someone to come and feed you.

Elizabrat, so sorry about the arm. Glad to hear you are home again.
I have been working away on my center, but have gone a little rogue. I have a book by Sally Collins on borders and one quilt has caught my eye/heart and so I am using it for the next couple of rounds. I really wanted to use Jaba's friendship stars, but in keeping with the Eagle Scouts found a PP star with 5 points on The Quilter's Cache. It was 8 inches which started my fun ride with Sally's book. I have finished a round (even though it may not look finished). I will add another round to make the quilt square again.
1. Center- Eagle Scout applique' 24.5 x 24.5
2. Jan-Curling Ribbon 32.5 x 32.5
3. Feb- a) 1 inch white filler border to bring white out from center 34.5 x 34.5
b) 8 inch PP stars from Quilter's Cache + side triangles (bottom length 24.5 inches)
c) 1 inch red outline border around stars (again brings red out from center)
d) 5 inch light blue border to fill in corners- really wanted to use Jaba's friendship stars (4 inch floating) but it
was just too many stars
Think I am through for this month, may start adding next round since it is different. Will wait to see what Elisabrat and Jaba do. Might be able to incorporate in next round. So here is a picture.
