Default MARCH PATRIOTIC DISAPPEARING FOUR PATCH swap

Sign-ups are open until March 30[SUP]th[/SUP] or we have a maximum of 25 swappers, whichever comes first. Each month is loads of fun with a wide variety of fabrics in each swap. Sew much fun!

Welcome to our monthly D4P swap. Here’s how it works: we will be making 8 ˝” unfinished D4P quilt blocks in a different theme each month. One set equals 6 D4P blocks. You may make as many as 6 sets of 6 blocks each which would be thirty-six (36) D4P blocks. Wow! That’s a lot of quilt blocks. Imagine how cool that quilt will be??? I know! Right??? If you are making one set, you may either make all the blocks using the same theme fabric(s) or you may make each block using a different theme-for-the-month fabric(s). If you are making more than one set (up to 6 sets), please make all blocks in each set of 6 with the same theme-of-the-month fabric and use a different theme-of-the-month fabric in each set.

March’s theme is PATRIOTIC. Please use ONE RED Patriotic print with solid white or ONE BLUE Patriotic print with solid white. Please send the kind of blocks you’d like to receive – squared up, pressed and trimmed.

In case you’ve never made a D4P quilt block, here are the instructions:

Please use 100% cotton, quilt quality fabric to make your quilt blocks. Please PM me to sign up. Please provide:
    · QB screen name
    · Real name
    · Number of sets you are making/sending
    · Email address

After I have received all of your information I will add you to the list of swappers and PM you with mailing information. BE SURE to include the USPS envelope WITH POSTAGE, filled out with your mailing information, in your package to me. Set(s) of Patriotic D4P quilt blocks will be due by APRIL 30[SUP]TH[/SUP].
** Please label your quilt blocks**

Mailing: please put blocks in a large plastic baggie along with your name and address on/in the bag. This will help protect your blocks in case your package is damaged. I'm in for 6 sets, think I might make a runner and maybe a table size "tablecloth" for the 4th of July.

I won't be joining in on mailing out but I want to see what comes in, I will be making my own set to put together.

I have enjoyed watching what everyone has been putting together.

So when we get the blocks back, will they all be different or is 1 complete set exchanged for 1 complete set? Also, can we use washed or unwashed fabric? Which is preferred?

Great question, Jannie. I swap everything out and try to get as much variety as possible. Washed vs unwashed - no preference.

Hello, I'd like to join! One question tho -- solid white background versus a white on white?
    I'll PM!

Solid white is what I was told, to many different patterns of white on white.

Solid white please. Too many variables with white tone-on-tone. So glad to have you in the swap!
