Default Row by Row Experience - Won a prize!

We happened to be traveling early July so my sweet husband took me to 11 shops! I picked my favorite eight rows and put them together. After many wrong turns, trial and error, and quality time spent with my seam ripper, I finished it and took it to a shop for the prize of 25 fat quarters!

I've since collected more in Maryland and Virginia since we went down to my daughter's school. My favorite patterns are those with applique because they tell a story. The pieced blocks are easier, though. The most challenging part was picking fabrics because I didn't buy kits. I did, however, support most stores with a purchase of fabric.

This "experience" is so much fun. I took my quilt along and showed it as we went shop to shop. Quilters are amazing. Everyone gets excited for each other and they love to look at everybody's work!

Row 1 Mary's Quilt Shop - Bedford, PA
Row 2 Stitch & Craft - Manheim, PA
Row 3 Peace by Piece - Blairsville, PA
Row 4 The Old Country Store - Intercouse, PA
Row 5 The Quilt Block - Exton, PA
Row 6 Sewing Solutions - Bedford, PA
Row 7 Chester County Quilting - Phoenixville, PA
Row 8 (right side of quilt)The Quilt Shop at Miller's - Ronks, PA
2014 and PA ROW BY ROW are my inception.

What an awesome quilt. Have visited myself several of the quilt shops you went to. The Amish do outstanding work.

How very fun to have a finished quilt journaling your trip. I love the win of the fat quarters too. Nice work and congratulations.

You created a beautiful quilt. Love that you used your own color combination! Wish we had a row by row here!
