First thing I do is flip the fabric wrong side up. That is the side that you marked on flip it so it's under. Put a paper towel underneath. Do Not rub the mark. Use a cotton ball with alcohol 91% or hand sanitizer. Keep dabbing the alcohol onto the mark. Keep repeating until the ink is gone. Dab don't rub. The reason for flipping is it will go out faster the way it came in. Do Not wet the area at all with water until the mark is completely gone. Water will set the ink. The paper towel will absorb the ink. Try not to let the ink spread. Also a little baking soda on the paper towel will help absorb the ink quickly. I use this method all the time. If you use hand sanitizer, do not use the scented. the scented extracts will set the ink also.

Rubbing Alcohol and Hand Sanitizer worked the best. It is still there, just very faint now.
Thank you to all your advice.

I was wondering if hand sanitizer would work on fabric. I've used it on my hands to remove sharpie marks and it works like a charm.

Try hand sanitizer to take it out.

Talk about days when you just want to slap yourself. Glad you got the most of it out. Was going to suggest hair spray, but that requires a washing afterwards too.

Try a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. It has worked for me in the past. Good luck.

I'm a teacher and use hand sanitizer for pretty much everything at school. I bet it works. It takes permanent marker off stuff that nail polish remover won't even touch.

Hand sanitizer is gelled alcohol...that's why it worked.
