Default Transplanted to North Carolina ... Reintroduction on Board

Hi all, Thought I would "reintroduce" myself. I've been a member of the board since 2009, but 3 years ago, I moved from upstate New York to North Carolina to be near my oldest daughter and her two adorable kids (two of my 5 grandchildren). Well, when I moved, life got in the way and took me for a LONG ride ... unpacking, moving twice, personal issues, and problematic health issues with long recovery times. I'm back, and happy to be back. I am going to pick up that rotary cutter and see if it still fits in my hand ... although I may not be able to use it for a while, since drastic rotary cuff surgery was one of my health issues! I live in Forsyth County and would love to meet up with other North Carolina or Virginia quilters. I've missed you all!

Welcome back to the board from OHIO! I'm so happy to hear that you have recovered from everything and are back to quilting.

I live in the mountains of western NC, but I so sympathize with the rotator cuff issues. I'm still recovering from my own surgery!

Welcome back. I sure wish you well on your road to recovery and hope you'll be back quilting soon. In the meantime, lots here to spark your creative side while you recover. Maybe you'll even be able to try some small project. Or even a bit of hand work. Maybe you have someone who can help you cut the fabric? I'm sorry, I have not a clue about how the surgery affects your mobility. (Just suggestions.) But, a warm welcome back to you.
