I have an embroidery module for the Bernina 440QE and have yet to use it.
Anyone out there who can share, I'd love it.

I have a Babylock Ellegante that is soon to come home. Just got it after Christmas. My other machines are Berninas and I also have another BL Embroidery machine that is an Esante ESE2.

My interest is in heirloom and vintage reproductions for dolls. I am a garment sewer, quilter, and general craft sewing. My interest in embroidery is the making of my handlooms and insertions for the French costumes I make for my reproduction dolls. I also like to make christening and dedication outfits for the little ones.

I love my Brother ULT also. I would love to someday upgrade, but that won't be for awhile.

I am so anxious to get my new Ellegante. I know that it is such an investment to upgrade. This one is an updated machine, so it behaves like the new model.

I like to do my heirloom stuff, and plan to embroider my own handlooms and laces for my French sewing.

Brother is a great machine. I like their technology better than others on the market. Your ULT is a good machine.

I have a Brother ULT 2001 and have had it since 2001. I have made several quilts and absolutely love using it when I get a chance. I will post pics of quilts I have done when I get a chance

I believe the extension for all Singers is .xxx
I got the conversion software when I bought my XL-6000 that allows me to take any format and convert it. You might want to look into that.

OK - here are a couple of pictures of the Beatrix Potter Baby Quilt - with both windmill squares and machine embroideries. I am really pleased with LA quilter Nadine Pike in Purcelville, VA who did custom quilting for me. She found a MICE border fabric that is precious. My neice (who is expecting her 1st child) as a child, wanted a pet mouse for 3 years running for Christmas. Dumb Santa brought her stuffed ones! Hope you enjoy. This was really a labor of love!

I will do another post and add a couple of close-ups.

This shows the quilting and border pattern

A couple more pics of the Beatrix Potter Baby (really twin coverlet size) quilt. I am just so pleased with the custom quilting done on this. Nadine Pike is really talented. Hope you enjoy these. There were a total of 20 embroidery designs (characters). Borders start with the green that is in sashing, then yellow, then pink, followed by blue binding. Gender of the new one is not known......we are really excited. Baby shower is next weekend, and is a surprise.

I have been reading the quilt forum a long while....have not posted anything, but I love machine embroidery. I have a BabyLock Ellego. My soft-wear is Designers Gallery and Pes is the format. If I knew how to post pictures I would. Love all the advice I get from all of you. Its the best part of the day when I can learn from all of you.
