Some beautiful quilts are emerging! Just printed the last clue and off to check out strips. Thank you, Judy, for another great pattern.

I am on a fabric buying moratorium for the year, so one more scrappy would be most welcome so I can use up some of my stash, which is mostly pieces a yard or less, with lots of FQs. Looking forward to another ride!

I don't mind cutting into a piece of fabric to use at all. My problem is using the last of a piece of fabric, it almost kills me, what if I NEED it, for another one, what if this last piece was just the perfect thing for some other quilt???? and here I have squandered it for this when I could have gone and got a new fabric to use.

I vote for another scrappy. Judy, will you post how to make the outside stars. I would like to add another border to make the complete stars. This was my first Mystery Train Ride. How do I find the others prior to this and the posts for the clues without going through pages and pages?

    Lynnie,
I think we are all in the same boat. Hate to cut into fabric. Always saving it. Well, I did cut into some fat quarters for the mystery quilt and there is still enough left for making other quilts. Use it. Enjoy it.

At the end are we suppose to only use the yellow for the stars or was that just what some of you chose?

Judy, can you still not get pm's? I had sent you one.

Oh DD I love star blocks the quilt I have on my bed (thank God) is a sampler star . Each block is a star and I used all fabrics with stars in it to make the quilt. The back of the quilt is bright red with stars also.

Dotty, the quilt came out gorgeous. Will start on this quilt when I finish the quilt that I am working on. Will work on it simultaneously with a baby quilt that I need to start that is due for a baby girl in April. I'm making it with 12" squares with wonky houses, and since it's thought intensive, the mystery quilt should take the edge off the brain..
Enjoy the snow that's coming, and be careful.
