I can't participate this time, but want to in the future and have a couple of questions. I was part of the Christmas Secret Santa and boxes were stuffed with many, many goodies. I figured people went all out at Christmas. My question is: Are the monthly ones just one item sent, such as something handmade? Or is it over the top like at Christmas?

The budget at Christmas is double to triple the monthly budget, so we don't send as many things or as expensive. I usually try to meet my SP's "most wanted" item if it's around $10.00 or less. Then I fill the rest of the envelope with fabric from my stash in her favourite colours, a homemade item or two, and small quilting notions that I've either picked up on sale or have been sent in a swap. We all realize that some items that are sent to us (excluding homemade) are sometimes passed on.
The main thing is to have fun and try not to spend over $10.00. Look at the packages sent this month to get an idea of what we do.
