thank you for the kind words...

I don't have a pattern. I just knew I wanted a manly quilt. The center square is 5 1/2" or 6 1/2" now that I think about it I'm not sure.. the red strips are 1 1/2" and the grey is 2 1/2" and the sashing is 2 1/2" The good thing is that I didn't worry about being precise. You'll notice there is not set pattern to the red "spokes". I like sewing that way. It actually helps improve my skills believe it or not. =) He's pretty tall so I had to make sure it fit. I think when I measured it was 90" x 112" He says its plenty big enough. I will say that it was a challenge to get the binding on. It was so big it was like wrestling a wet towel. I glue baste my bindings on so I didn't have to worry about shifting from the pulling and tugging. I LOVE LOVE LOVE glue. Its my best friend.

That is great! I love the pattern, the layout and the colors! Great job!

i use my embroidery machine to make quilt labels giving credit to the quilter, the pattern (if applicable) and the maker. and then I sew them into the backing. As in seams....not sewing them on top which can be removed.
